douf（斗）：苗历单位，用于纪日、纪年。每十二日（年）称为一“斗”日（年），由于苗族有计虚数的习惯，故也说一“斗”日（年）为十三天（年）、二“斗”日为二十五天（年）（以下照推）等。}_{[2]

雷宿中倮溜、雷宿中把溜：倮溜（lox liub）、把溜（bad liub），苗族民间认为（后注均同）有强悍霸气之意，主凶。婚丧立房巫事等诸事均不宜。}_{[14]
大龙宿中突色：突色（tiub seet），意为水推沙，不吉。一说bus weel zaok、weel xeib，同螺蛳宿的嘎迥，意为浑水塘、清水塘，冷季宜喜庆事。}_{[15]
竹鼠宿中辛斗：辛斗（xenb doux），意为棺材两头的挡板，主凶，诸事不宜。}_{[16]
野猫宿中仙瘩：仙瘩（dlieeb dab）意为土地神，不吉。有的地方用于做“栽花树”巫事。}_{[17]
太阳宿中党溜：党溜（dangx liub）意为大山包。一说为党夫（dangx fub），意为雷公山包。宜做“保寨”、“保家”等巫事。}_{[18]
